According to the newly published ranking by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, the Journal of Geography and Development has once again achieved a Grade A ranking.

The scientific Journal of Geography and Development, published by the University of Sistan and Baluchestan in cooperation with the Iranian Geographical Association, has been in publication since 2003 (1382 in the Iranian calendar). Dr. Isa Ebrahimzadeh serves as the Journal's Managing Director, Dr. Manouchehr Farajzadeh as its Editor-in-Chief, and Ms. Maryam Mirtimouri as its Executive Manager.

The journal's primary mission is to enhance scientific knowledge and promote interdisciplinary research in various fields, including geographical sciences, spatial planning, economics, social sciences, sociology, regional development, geopolitics, political sciences, geology, climatology, geomorphology, hydrology, and other related spatial science disciplines.

Adhering to regular publication schedules and maintaining quality standards, the journal is indexed in renowned international databases such as DOAJ, EBSCO, CABI, and other specialized indexes. Based on the latest evaluations by the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC), the journal ranks within the first quartile (Q1) of scientific publications.
